Broccoli Stalks - don't waste them recipe


Broccoli stalks from a bunch of broccoli - sliced into julienne stalks or quarter medallions
6 tablespoons ghee
1 handful chopped nuts
1 garlic clove - crushed or sliced
2 basil leaves - chopped
1 pinch red pepper flakes or sriracha to your spice liking
2 teaspoons lemon juice
S and P, to taste


Steam broccoli stalks until soft where a fork will penetrate easily. In a skillet on medium heat cook ghee, garlic and nuts for a few minutes. Add peppers, basil and cook 1 more minute. Take off of heat and add lemon juice. Pour over stalks and serve.
